imap.gmail.com is not responding


IMAP is a protocol which works handy when you want to access your Gmail account with different devices. It helps in the real time synchronization of your account, so that you can have access to it at any place at any time. Apart from Gmail, IMAP can also be used with Outlook and Apple accounts. Despite the nifty functioning of this, errors might come where imap.gmail.com is not responding. In order to get this problem fixed, the following troubleshooting steps might help
·        Try force quitting the application if you are using it on the mobile. If you are using IMAP on browser, try to end task by using task manager and reopen it again.
·        Try emailing yourself in order to get the modulus of your account functioning again properly.
·        Update your system to the latest version, in order to synchronize it with the features of IMAP so it can respond properly.
·        Check for your Internet connection and CF to strong enough for IMAP to function properly.
·        Delete your IMAP account from the device that you are using, and add it again. This might help you even if you are working on laptop or mobile phone.
